What is Student Council?
Student Council is an elected group of students who represent their peers. StudentáCouncil gives a voice to students and plans community service projects andáschool events.

What are the Student Council offices?
Student Council has two office positions, Secretary and Treasurer, open to thirdáthrough fifth grade. One office, Vice President, is only open to 4th grade. The Vice President position is a twoáyear commitment...Vice President in 4th grade and President in 5th grade. READ MORE

Hoff Student Council Parent Permission Slip
Your child is interested in running for a Student Council position.áStudents in grades 3-5 may run for offices (Secretary and Treasurer) asáwell as class representative. Students in grade 4 may also run for ViceáPresident (a two year commitment...VP in 4th grade and President in 5th grade). Students in 1st and 2nd grade can run for class representative.

Officer meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of the month from 12:30-1:00 (students are responsibleáfor making up missed work). Student Council meetings for ALL members will be held on the secondáTuesday of the month from 3:15-4:15. Parents must provide transportation for their student.

All students interested in running for a position should prepare a speech and 1 campaign poster. Speechesáfor Officer Positions must be approved by Mrs. Graybill prior to September 30, 2014. Campaign promisesáwill not be allowed. Speeches should focus on candidate qualities. Classroom teachers will decide ifáClass Representative Speeches need to be approved. Students will be given one piece of poster paper toácreate a poster to be hung in the cafeteria during the week of September 29th. Additional posters will notábe allowed.á

Officer speeches will be presented to the student body on Thursday, October 2nd at 8:40 a.m. Electionsáwill immediately follow. Class Representative Speeches will be delivered Friday, October 3rd in theárespective classrooms with elections immediately following.
